I have been traveling since 1969 and have seen 48 states and 54 countries.
In 2001 I took my first international hiking trip - walking across the foothills of the Himalayas. I solo walked the Camino Trail across Spain for 400 miles, and solo walked from Prague, Czech Republic to Tubingen, Germany logging 403 miles.
In 2012 I started adventure biking and have spun my wheels for 4,800 miles… so far.
Europe has over 30,000 miles of biking and hiking trails with another 25,000 miles in the works. There are 19 long distance routes called the EUROVELO. The shortest trail is 650 miles and the longest is 6,800 miles. My dream is to bike them all!

2025 ~ EUROPEAN VAN ADVENTURE
I shipped my camper van to Europe, and toured for a duration of 6 months! This adventure began by visiting relatives & friends in Germany and then heading south. I spent 3 months in Schengen countries (Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria) and 3 months in non-Schengen countries (BIH, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia) to comply with the tourist visa requirement of 90 days max (not continuous) in Schengen countries.
I explored several dozen national parks and lots of beautiful hiking trails during the summer. In the fall I transversed the Carpathians in Romania and motored along the Danube River on the Bulgarian side ending up at the Danube Delta. Along the way there were all sorts of interesting people, places and… one very special dog!
